As part of our work during the COVID times we initiated sessions and sharing of material with the community to be self independent in the area of vegetables. As part of our efforts to curb the fall in incomes which had led to lack of nutritious consumption of food by the children and families we initiated the idea of setting up KITCHEN GARDENS at the household level.
The community Youth came forward and set it up. We shared inputs on the technical side and also supported them with required materials. This little success propelled us to discuss the viability of the community sowing good quality fodder for the cattle. This would really enable them to reduce the expenditure that they incur in buying fodder from the market which already is being availed at a 25% premium cost since Lockdown. We thank Mr K L Mukesh for the support and guidance he has offered to us in this area.
